Calorie Calculator
Calculate your daily calorie needs to maintain, lose, or gain weight using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula.
How this is calculated
Uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate your basal metabolic rate (BMR), then multiplies it by an activity factor to get total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) — the calories needed to maintain your current weight.
Losing or gaining weight
A deficit of roughly 500 calories per day targets about 1 lb (0.45 kg) of weight loss per week, and a surplus of the same size targets similar weight gain. Larger deficits are harder to sustain and more likely to cost you muscle.
